Tank Battle: Blitzkrieg! recreates the first battles of World War II. On 1st September 1939 the German army marched into Poland, two weeks later the Soviets also invaded and the Polish army was crushed by 6th October. Over the coming months the Germans expanded their grip on Europe with further invasions of Denmark and Norway.
On 10th May 1940 the Battle of France began after the German army entered the low countries of Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg. Within weeks the French army was forced to surrender and the British army had retreated at Dunkirk.
To add to the French agony the Italian army also invaded Southern France in support of the Germans. The allied armies had some excellent tanks and soldiers but their strategy was flawed and their tactics dated and unable to deal with the German Blitzkrieg!

Nice game. However, there is a bug in "#4 Menton" of the "Southern Front." The game cannot be ended properly and the player is judged to be defeated although all control points are held until turn #21.
There is another bug in "Retreat / British valley." The game cannot be completed properly when the missions are accomplished.
There are two bugs. In Retreat Mission 4 British Valley, game will not register a Victory. Stuck at mission 4.
In Southern Front, mission 4 Menton, same problem. Please send Fix update.

Some bad moments
There is a bug in the Southern Front campaign that makes the Menton mission impossible to complete.
The defeat screen will apppear even when you complete all the tasks.
And please add a multiplayer/skirmish mode, and the possibility of going back when you give wrong orders to units like in every good wargame.
Another thing you could done is stop giving us 1/10 of the game for its original price and make the remenant 9/10 divided in 9 separated dlc that costs like the damn game. The game right now is pretty much a scam.

Im a big fan of all the hex war tank battle games...the Eastern Front series, 1944. The relatively new Normandy is great too.
So far this one leaves me lukewarm. There are a fair number of different unit types, in name at least, but their performance in terms of combat effectiveness is very similar, in that the relative firepower and defensive strength across different units varies little.
Fair enough, I suppose since at this time period the real game changer was tactics, not superiority in weapon design. (Hence "Blitzkrieg").
So while the game is perhaps historically accurate, the game play is sort of boring.
Dont anyone check these apps? Both exploit and southern front end in a loss regardless of a win, both in the fourth scenario. Good game otherwise.
I would have given more stars were it not for the issues with several scenarios...namely one cannot advance to the next mission when earning a victory. All this means there are see ark missions that one cannot play.
This issue seems to be cropping up lately with a couple other games.
British valley and Menton cannot be won. Ive beat em both but do not get the victory and advance to the next battle. Also, the weapons are not all that. My small arms platoons do greater damage than the tanks.
Either way I own all of your tank games, civil war and Rebel n redcoats. Need more civil and revolutionary war games.
This game really needs a multiplayer section and you have to buy 3of the 6 campaigns and sign up to emails to buy another. You should include it all in the purchase.Love the new units!
